MRC is a diversified global entertainment company with divisions including Film and Television. This role will work closely with all members of the HR & Facilities teams and dual-report to the SVP, Corporate HR & VP, Production HR.

Corporate HR & Facilities Responsibilities:

  • Provide recruitment support, including posting job descriptions, sourcing, and scheduling interviews
  • Alongside corporate HR colleagues, input employee information changes into the HRIS (Paycom)
  • HR research and compliance updates
  • Support the implementation and development of HR policies, systems, and programs
  • Serve as the primary contact for general HR inquiries, policies, etc.
  • Assist with Culture initiatives, including parties and retreats
  • Manage HR Purchase Orders and expense reports
  • Ad-hoc HR projects, as needed
  • Alongside Reception, operational/facilities tasks, as needed
Production HR Responsibilities:
  • Update and manage the production grid to reflect our past, present, and future productions
  • Alongside VP, Production HR, coordinate necessary policies needed for production start paperwork
  • Ensure necessary training for legal compliance is conducted in a timely manner for production employees alongside VP, Production HR
    • Manage production compliance training and tracking
    • Coordinate with outside counsel, as appropriate
    • Run background checks for production employees and conduct research regarding various jurisdictions
    • Facilitate accounts payable and billing for production compliance training
  • Interface with various levels of production cast and crew
  • Activate/deactivate HR and Safety anonymous hotline numbers for locations used for film and TV productions
    • Monitor employee relations case management system for production employees
    • Compile employee relations information for production employees
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of HR experience in the entertainment industry & production preferred
  • Proficient with the usage of HRIS systems (Paycom preferred)
  • General knowledge of HR principles and employment laws
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Systems-savvy; proficiency in HR systems such as Paycom, Checkr, Everfi, and Concur/Ramp preferred
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workplace


Hiring Salary Range is $21 to $25/hour, dependent on experience and level. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including, but not limited to, market demands, experience/training, and education.
